1. Problems caused by cavitation in magnetic pumps:
The main reasons for cavitation in pumps are large resistance in the pump inlet pipe, more gas phase in the conveying medium, insufficient pump filling, insufficient pump inlet head, etc. Cavitation is the most harmful to the pump. When cavitation occurs, the pump vibrates violently and the balance is seriously damaged, which will cause damage to the pump bearings, rotors or impellers. This is a common cause of magnetic pump failure.
2. No medium or small flow of conveying medium:
The rotor main shaft and the stable bearing are dry rubbed, burning the bearing. The magnetic pump is lubricated and cooled by the conveying medium for the sliding bearing. In the absence of the inlet valve or outlet valve, the sliding bearing is damaged due to high temperature due to the lack of lubrication and cooling of the conveying medium.
3. Prevent particles from entering:
1). Ferromagnetic impurities and particles are not allowed to enter the magnetic transmission and bearing friction pair.
2). After conveying media that are easy to crystallize or precipitate, flush it in time (fill the pump cavity with clean water after stopping the pump, and drain it after running for 1 minute) to ensure the service life of the sliding bearing.
3). When conveying media containing solid particles, it should be filtered at the inlet of the pump flow tube.
4. Damage to the isolation sleeve:
The magnetic coupling of the magnetic pump is cooled by the medium conveyed by the pump. If there are hard particles in the medium, it is easy to cause scratches or punctures on the isolation sleeve. Sometimes, improper maintenance methods may also cause damage to the isolation sleeve.
5. Prevent dry friction:
1). Idle running is strictly prohibited.
2). Medium evacuation is strictly prohibited.
3). When the outlet valve is closed, the continuous operation time of the pump shall not exceed 2 minutes to prevent the magnetic transmission from overheating and failure.
6. Prevent demagnetization:
1). The magnetic torque cannot be designed too small.
2). It should be operated under the specified temperature conditions, and the medium temperature is strictly prohibited from exceeding the standard. A platinum resistance temperature sensor can be installed on the outer surface of the magnetic pump isolation sleeve to detect the temperature rise in the annular gap area, so as to alarm or shut down when the temperature exceeds the limit.
